The Living Room – The RIGOUR Edition

10339625_676344009090691_8398188562852750412_nJoin us for our final Emerging Artist get-together of the season!

On May 14, Rumble will be hosting another Living Room gathering, and this time we’ll be talking about rigour. What does it mean to work hard, to go the extra mile, to really get under the skin of your work? And how do you give everything you’ve got when you simply don’t have much time, money or resources? How do we invest in our own work?

(This topic is really just a leaping-off point. We’ll likely be talking about lots of other stuff, too.)

Our guest speaker will be playwright, actor, director and rigorous theatre dude, Marcus Youssef. He’s also the AD of our room-mate Neworld Theatre. He’s been around and knows a thing or two about working hard at this business. And! We’ll have snacks & cheap beer! How’s that for enticing?

Rumble Theatre invites all artists who self-identify as “emerging” to join us for a fun and stimulating evening of conversation and community-building. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at 7pm at Progress Lab, 1422 William Street.

The Living Room is a mixer-slash-mingler-slash-meeting for young artists to engage with one another on topics that are important to them and to connect, network and share news in a casual and fun environment.
