news about the rumble gang_____________________________________________________________Rita Bozi has officially retired from dance and is now moving into a theatrical career starting with a co-creation , Trouser Parts, with David Rimmer and Grinning Dragon for the 1997 Fringe. In December, Rita will be travelling to England to collaborate with Dymtri Chepovetsky, Kate Hale and Foursight Theatre on a new piece entitled Body Blood. She also has a private shiatsu practice and is taking new clients... Darren Copeland is currently based at the University of Birmingham, UK, where he is producing a soundscape documentary about blindness entitled Life Unseen. This summer he became President of the Communauté Electroacoustique Canadienne/Canadian Electroacoustic Community and joined the Board of Directors for the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology. In the fall he will embark on an acousmatic adaptation of Strindberg's A Dream Play with Lynda Hill prior to returning to Toronto before Christmas. Ruth McIntosh is expanding her career these days, developing new physical skills through dance training. She interest continues with interdisciplinary work, especially dancetheatre. Her focus right now is on sourcing her own creative voice. Following a busy spring working on Three in the Head, Two in the Back (SFU), Sled (Touchstone), Patagonia (Ruby Slippers), and The Gang (Vancouver New Music), Andreas Kahre is finishing his paper theatre to organize a tour for Woyzeck(basic), working on a Fringe show with Imaginary Enclave, and urgently looking for production support for his two new interdisciplinary pieces, Aeronarrativity and Caltex Memories. | |||
