ABOUT THE SHOW
Five actors perform a contemporary version of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus that one of them has penned… but they sometimes forget their lines, or they say what they want to, or refuse to stay dead when they are killed. Audaciously satirical and physical, The Society for the Destitute Presents Titus Bouffonius offers a lumpy, stumpy, disorienting look at violence, revenge, and broken baby dolls.
Written by two-time Governor General’s Award winner Colleen Murphy, The Society for the Destitute Presents Titus Bouffonius is the second play commissioned for Rumble’s contemporary adaptation program.
