Rumble Theatre invites applications from senior-year theatre students (students in the final year of theatre-specialized training at a local post-secondary institution) to participate as Student Ambassadors with Rumble during the 2015/16 season.
Rumble will appoint two motivated and energetic Student Ambassadors. The ambassadors will help build a connection between Rumble and the schools and will enjoy a close relationship with Rumble. They can avail themselves of company resources such as studio / office space and mentorship with Rumble staff. They help us connect with their peers, and we offer them a link to the professional theatre community.
Possible engagement with Rumble could include:
– one-on-one coffee dates with the Rumble team
– help Rumble maintain a connection to the student body
– volunteer at our Hot Mess Halloween Party (Oct 31)
– help run our Living Room events (four throughout the year)
– attend our multi-company AGM-apalooza
– usher/volunteer for our mainstage production of Cock by Mike Bartlett
– attend the first read-thru of Cock and sit-in on rehearsals or
design/ production meetings
– organize a meet-&-greet for final year students and local artistic directors
– attend workshop sessions for our commissioned work-in-progress,
A Wilderness of Tigers
This opportunity is open to all students in the final year of a theatre training program in a post-secondary institution (actors, designers, stage managers, technicians). Ideal candidates will be interested in the work Rumble does and in getting to know the professional theatre community.
Applicants are asked to submit a letter of intent outlining why they are interested in this opportunity and what are their career aspirations. An accompanying CV is an asset. Applications will be assessed – and two ambassadors will be chosen – by Rumble’s Artistic Director Stephen Drover.
Applications will be accepted until Sept 1, 2015 and should be sent to:

Are you an emerging artist? Do you want to meet other emerging artists? Hang out? Talk about important stuff? The Living Room is a spiffy get-together that Rumble holds a few times a year where you can do that. We spread out some rugs in our studio, play some music, eat chips and drink cheap beer. We invite a couple of established artists from the professional theatre community to join us, so it’s your chance to get to know them, too! Each night will take on a different topic to learn more about the business and helps us dig deeper into our art. It’s informative, inspiring and fun. You should join us!
