About the Show

Our production was the Canadian premiere of Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour’s intimate and experimental play, BLANK. As formally inventive as it is engaging, BLANK reverses the typical theatre experience: A script riddled with blanks leaves the audience in charge of how the story will unfold. The concept might be simple, but the result is nothing short of empowering as a random audience member sees their own future determined by the imagination of others.

What Audience Members Had to Say About the Show

“It was so beautiful. It made my life feel important. So unique, too. I always wanted to know what happens next.”

“This was totally engaging. I’d love to come to see future shows.”

“Reflective, emotional, present. Really resonated. Thank you for producing this show!”

“Incredibly interesting. I was moved deeply. Thank you.”
